Victorian:

  (1) Egypt under the reign of Britain. Three leading archeologists are working together to uncover the mysteries of ancient Egypt (by her Majesties grace, of course) A young and aspiring professor, a far older and highly experienced archeologist, and his adopted Egyptian daughter. Again, lots of potential here for Egyptian curses and traps, character and personality conflict, and high action. Could be fun!

  (2) Victorian England - This one is still sort of rough, but I'm not unhappy with it thus far. Very Bronte, Victorian period, a man of high standings finds his estate and holdings in dire straights due to a sickness that is sweeping the area. The woman sent to help comes somewhat unwillingly, but has a gift for medicine. He is the typical proud and taciturn Bronte male and she the strong willed and unflinching Bronte female. The sickness won't let up (and perhaps he even befalls it) so she must care for him as well until it  passes. Not as much action here, but for more space for character development and inter-character relations. Again, I think this one could be fun.

(3) Victorian England with a Sci-fi twist - Think Dr. Who, but our way. A shut in scientist of Victorian England, laughed at by his peers. His housekeeper (and effectively the only person bothering to feed him) is leaving, either on vacation or permanently. She hires on a young woman, left alone after her father (a scientist known by your character) passed from a wasting disease. The past six months have been hard on our mousy but brilliant girl. She comes on as the new housekeeper, but ends up as more of a idea bank, friend, and eventual partner in adventure when the time machine our scientist had been laboring on for so long finally roars to life with her help. And then we can visit any time period that interests us.

Other:

(1) Ancient Japan - A Samurai of a particular clan is severely injured in a massive battle taking place on enemy lands. He wakes up after the battle has ended (left for dead) and manages to escape and hide in the expansive gardens a few miles from the site of battle. A local woman (daughter to a family of high standing) finds him in the garden and hides him nearby, coming to care for him until he recovers. There is potential in this SL are well, and while it has the same feel as the WWII sl, the cultural differences should make it far more interesting.

(2) Ancient Japan - Another idea entails a warrior highly trained in the Path of the Lotus. He is sent by his master to serve as a protector for the Emperor. There have been many threats on the Emperor's life of late and masters from all over the country are sending their best warriors to protect the Emperor.

But what of the new Geisha who has appeared at the Emperor's side over the past few months - does she have something to do with the attacks? And what of the High Master of the Path of the Lotus, who has come to the palace recently to consider the warriors sent to serve the Emperor?

(3) A World War II drama/epic - think lifetime, but not so cheesy - about an Ally solider who, with his platoon is captured by Nazi soldiers in Strasbourg France. The Nazi's have a secret camp beneath a bakery in the sleepy city of Strasbourg where the prisoners are tortured for information. A German woman, come to Strasbourg with her father discovers the encampment and sneaks down in the night to bring comfort and what little medical skills she has. There is a lot of potential in this SL, including a        possible German soldier thrown in with the Allies to try and garner information, but discovers instead the woman who aids the men in the night, failed escape attempts, a potentially successful escape attempt, fleeing thorough the countryside of France - you get the idea...
